Getting ready to plant a beautiful garden this spring? Master Gardener, Kandy Keeling from U of I Extension Kendall County will help get your garden off to a good start on Thursday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m.


She will cover topics on planting seeds indoor and out, planting cool season flowers, seasonal lawn care as well as watering, fertilizing diving and pruning.

Local author, Joan Aubele is coming to the library on Thursday November 5 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss her biography, The Dance-A story of Love, Faith, and Survival. Hear her story of facing challenges of fighting and overcoming cancer. Aubele's biography is available at the library.

Newark teen, Jurene Christian will discuss how her furry friends helped inspire her to write her novels, Replaced and Forgotten on Thursday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m.


Jurene who is a 16 year old, will take us on her journey of being a self-publish young author. Check out her books to read next time you're in the library!

Performer, Leslie Goddard will portray kitchen maid, Margaret Powell who worked in many English Homes in the 1920's on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m.


Goddard will transform into Margaret and present her stories on what it took to run a wealthy household. Powell memior Below Stairs was a key part that inspired the T.V. shows Downton Abbey and Upstairs, Downstairs.
